In order to carry a concealed weapon in the State of Nevada, you must apply for a CCW permit in the county in which you reside.

Please print and complete the above application in full and bring to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. Read all the information enclosed carefully.

 

Fees for processing are:

Initial Application $100.25  
Renewal $65.25  
Duplicate Permit $15.00 (Address change, etc.)

 

The following days and times have been set aside for fingerprinting and photographing concealed firearm permit applicants:

 

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – By Appointment Only
    (subject to low staffing levels)

 

When your application is turned in, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office will accept payment at that time, get your fingerprints and take your photograph. We will then begin your background check. Because background checks are time consuming, a period of up to 120 days is necessary to complete one. We will notify you with the results when your background check is completed.

Types of payment accepted are cash, personal checks, business checks, money orders and Cashier’s Checks.

No credit or debit cards.
